Sitting, Standing or Walking at work?

Sitting, Standing or Walking at work – which is best? The answer; a combination of all  three

Extended periods of inactivity and flexion-based (slouching) postures are routinely adopted by desk workers, ultimately depriving the the nerves, muscles and skeletal frame of the fundamental movements essential for health.

So regularly alternating between sitting, standing and walking throughout your day will not only improve whole body joint function but it will also improve your concentration and alertness…so you will pick up on simple errors like double “the” in the second paragraph.

Try following this ratio; 20:2 (Sit/Stand:Walk)

  • Sit for 20 minutes
  • Walk for 2 minutes
  • Stand for 20 minutes
  • Walk for 2 minutes
